
Authorities are investigating a bank robbery that took place at Capital One Bank in Westbury Friday afternoon.
According to police, a man entered the bank, located at 2350 Stewart Ave., and verbally demanded money from the bank teller at 1:33 p.m.
The robber took an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene on foot across Stewart Avenue, heading northbound on Cowl Lane toward Choir Lane, police said.

Police described the robber as in his twenties, 6 feet tall and wearing a dark jacket, a gray hoodie, sunglasses and blue jeans.
The seven workers and one customer in the bank at the time of the robbery were reported unharmed.
