The man also allegedly had marijuana in his car.

Westchester County Police arrested a man from the Bronx after he allegedly fled during a traffic stop and crashed into a tree.
Shawn Wallace, 30, was stopped while driving a 2011 BMW around 2:30 a.m. Thursday after Officer Michael McAllister observed a traffic violation on the eastbound Cross County Parkway at Central Park Avenue in Yonkers.
When the patrol car’s lights and sirens were activated, the BMW slowed down at first and appeared to be coming to a stop near Kimball Avenue.

Another car was clipped as the BMW went by, damaging that car’s passenger-side mirror and rear bumper.
The driver of the BMW lost control at Fleetwood and Gramatan avenues and struck a tree.
Wallace was arrested at the scene.
A computer check revealed his license was suspended, police said, and three small bags of marijuana were allegedly found in his possession.
Neither Wallace nor his passenger were injured in the crash. The passenger did not face any charges.
Wallace was charged with third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, second-degree reckless driving and aggravated unlicensed operation, both misdemeanors.
He also received multiple summonses for vehicle and traffic law violations and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Wallace was booked at county police headquarters and released on $1,000 bail.
He is due to appear in Mount Vernon City Court May 12.
