Why are you seeking elective office?

After serving Yonkers for the past 34 years in the Yonkers Police Department, I want to continue my service to the city as an elected official. I see that there are plenty of things that need changing in the District, and I believe I have the solutions to fix them.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Public Safety. As a veteran of the Yonkers Police Department, I know exactly the issues facing Yonkers with regards to public safety, and I want to work with the police to ensure that residents of the district are safe for everyone.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have served the people of Yonkers for the past 34 years in the Yonkers Police Department, and I wish to continue my public service now as Councilman. My understanding of the issues facing our city and more specifically District 6 is greater than my opponent. I have risen through the ranks from foot patrol officer through Deputy Police Chief, and I know what needs to be done to make Yonkers a better place for all our communities.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

The current incumbent has done little to actually aid the district, especially in quality of life aspects such as pot holes, damaged sidewalks, and increasing taxes. Having walked the District since the campaign began, I've spoken to hundreds of people who say they have never seen the incumbent once, and that their repeated calls to fix issues have fallen on deaf ears. I want to be a councilman for ALL of the District, not just for a small group.
