A fundraiser was started to help the 67-year-old Filipina woman who was brutally beaten and stomped more than 125 times.

YONKERS, NY — On March 11, shortly after 6p.m., Tammel Esco approached his neighbor, a 67-year-old Filipina woman, from behind and violently punched her in the head, knocking her to the ground, police said.
Esco continued to punch the victim more than 100 times, stomped on her upper body approximately seven times and then spit on her, according to investigators.

The victim's family has started a GoFundMe campaign to help, not only with her expenses as she works to recover, but she will also be finding a new place to live.
"In this despicable, unprovoked attack, she suffered serious head trauma," the family wrote in the appeal for support. "She is currently stable, but we don't know when she'll be able to return home or go back to work. Her attacker was our neighbor and lived in her building. She will have to move to ensure her safety as she cannot continue living in her home, apartment building, or neighborhood."
The victim's children said the attack left their mother afraid and asked even those who would like to help to respect her privacy.
"We want to protect our mother any way we can, so we ask to stay anonymous so that she can focus on her recovery without being bombarded by the media or having more fears for her safety," the loved ones said, referring inquiries to her attorneys.
