Mount Vernon Couple Go Missing On Dominican Republic Vacation

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Relatives of a couple who vanished two weeks ago on a vacation in the Dominican Republic are increasingly worried as a search is underway, according to news reports.

Portia Ravenelle and Orlando Moore flew to the DR March 23 on vacation.

News reports differ on whether they had checked out of their hotel. They never got on their return flight March 27.

Moore's sister filed missing person reports with the U.S. Embassy there and with the police, NBC New York reported. She said their rental car is also missing.
