Mount Vernon 'Youth' Arrested In Connection To Shooting That Wounded 4
The identity and age of the suspect, who was arrested at his home this past weekend, are not being released by police.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — A minor was arrested late Friday night in connection with a September shooting in Mount Vernon that injured four people, officials have confirmed.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., on September 25, Mount Vernon police were called to South 8th Ave. after receiving reports of multiple people shot. Officers found four people with gunshot wounds at the scene. The injured were rushed to Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx.

One of the victims was listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head, while the other three victims were listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
All four of the victims are NYC residents and their identities are being withheld by authorities.

Mount Vernon Police Department detectives investigated this case with the assistance of the Westchester County Police Real Time Crime Center and members of the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force.
After an investigation, the underage suspect was arrested at home on Friday and charged with first degree assault and second degree criminal possession of a weapon. The youth, whose name is not being released due to being a minor, is currently being held at Woodfield Cottage and will be prosecuted in the youth division of the Westchester County Criminal Court.
