UPDATE: Clarkstown Police Seek Information About Anti-Semitic Graffiti In Nanuet
The latest incident targeted a home for sale in Nanuet.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — More hate graffiti has been found in Clarkstown. Swastikas and the word "hate" were spray painted on a real estate sign advertising a home for sale in Nanuet, the sidewalk and a nearby stop sign. The vandalism was discovered Saturday. The realtor is a Jewish-owned business, according to the Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council.
Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann asked anyone with information to call Clarkstown Police at 845-639-5800.
OJPAC reported Monday morning that the grafitti had been painted out.

Rockland County Executive Ed Day strongly condemned the criminals who defaced property in Clarkstown with hateful graffiti.
"Words matter," said Day in a statement on Monday. "Acts of hate matter. Actions matter. We vow to work with law enforcement to bring these criminals to justice. And we will work with our Commission on Human Rights to show that hate has no place in Rockland County."

Hoehmann issued a statement as well:
On Sunday, June 18th, another act of intolerable and inexcusable anti-Semitism occurred in the form of vandalism in the Clarkstown section of Spring Valley. The incident involved a newly sold home which was targeted with multiple spray-painted swastikas. After the incident was report to the Clarkstown Police, the Clarkstown Highway Department was dispatched to clear the graffiti.
In response to this, I spoke with County Executive Day and suggested the formation of a countywide taskforce to address and rid our communities of these heinous and cowardly acts.
It is imperative that all Rocklanders and our community leaders band together to end these hateful and hurtful crimes. This is currently being investigated by the police and we urge those with any information to contact the Clarkstown Police Department at 845-639-5800.
Anti-Semitic graffiti was found last week on rocks at High Tor State Park. The graffiti included swastikas and racial epithets, according to the Rockland County Legislature, which noted that it was located near the park's peak.
The real estate sign graffiti joins a growing list of anti-Semitic vandalism in Rockland in the past year. The legislature's resolution also condemns the May 25 discovery of "No Jews" being spray painted on a Haverstaw home's basement wall; the Feb. 21 discovery of swastikas being spray painted on a fence in New Square; a Feb. 6 announcement of swastikas being found on trees in New City; a Nov. 14 discovery of "No Jews" being spray painted on a road in front of a pair of Ramapo houses for sale; and "incendiary devices" being set off last Aug. 9 outside the New City homes of two rabbis.
