MARI-ANNE PECORELLA JOINS APPLE BANK FOR SAVINGS

AS VICE PRESIDENT AND BRANCH MANAGER

OF ITS KINGS HIGHWAY, BROOKLYN OFFICE

BROOKLYN, NY – MAY 17, 2017 – Apple Bank for Savings has announced the appointment of Mari-Anne Pecorella as Vice President and Branch Manager of its Midwood branch office located at 1321 Kings Highway in Brooklyn. Ms. Pecorella joins Apple Bank with over 30 years of retail banking experience with major New York City banking institutions serving Brooklyn and Staten Island.

James Matera, Executive Vice President and Head of Apple Bank’s Consumer Banking Division, said, “We are pleased to welcome Mari-Anne Pecorella as the new manager of our Kings Highway branch in Midwood, Brooklyn. Mari-Anne has been serving the financial needs of Brooklyn residents for several decades, and her extensive retail banking background and knowledge of the community are valuable assets for Apple Bank customers.”

Ms. Pecorella joins Apple Bank from Astoria Bank, where she served as Vice President and Branch Manager of the Avenue M branch office in Midwood, Brooklyn since 2014. Prior to coming to Astoria Bank, Ms. Pecorella was with Capital One Bank and its predecessor bank, North Fork Bank, for over ten years serving as Vice President and Senior Branch Manager at multiple Brooklyn locations.

An active member of the Brooklyn business community, Ms. Pecorella has been a Director of the Midwood Development Corporation and Secretary of the Midwood Merchants Association.

Ms. Pecorella began her banking career with Crossland Savings Bank, serving in increasingly responsible sales positions culminating in her promotion to Branch Manager. Upon Northfield Bank’s acquisition of Crossland, she served as Vice President and Branch Manager in Staten Island in 2004. Ms. Pecorella later joined North Fork Bank (later Capital One) and served as Vice President and Senior Branch Manager of both their Bensonhurst/ 86th Street and Kings Plaza offices.

A Brooklyn native, Ms. Pecorella graduated from Lafayette High School and attended Kingsborough Community College. She lives in Staten Island with her husband and their two children.
