Court Date Set for New City Dogs that Mauled, Killed Pet Goats

The two dogs are being held at the Hi-Tor animal shelter until then.

The Town of Clarktown Animal Control Officer has secured a seizure order that keeps two dogs at the Hi-Tor animal shelter until a judge makes a ruling in the case of two slain pet goats.

The dogs invaded an enclosed New City yard Sept. 23 to get at the pets. Their 83-year-year old owner heard them moaning at 3:30 a.m. and tried unsuccessfully to drive the marauders off with a stick before she called 911, according to News 12.

The first court appearance has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Oct. 15 in the Clarkstown Justice Court.
