New Measles Exposure: Best Buy, Market, Shipping Firm In Rockland

If you were in any of these places at these times, you were exposed, Rockland health officials said. Here's what to do if you're at risk.

NEW CITY, NY — A person who was contagious with measles visited three public places in Rockland County Nov. 22-24 and anyone who also visited those places at that time was exposed.

While the measles outbreak has largely targeted three communities and Orthodox Jewish schools, health officials warn that due to Rockland County's small geographic size, exposure to the measles may occur anywhere. People may shop, dine, and run errands around the county before they realize they are ill, but are contagious.

Rockland County Executive Ed Day and County Health Commissioner Dr. Patricia Schnabel Ruppert said as of Wednesday, there are 83 confirmed reported cases of measles in the county.
