3 Rescued, 1 Firefighter Treated for Smoke Inhalation in New Rochelle Fire

The civilians were rescued from the porch roof during the fire.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Thursday night fire in New Rochelle that had three people trapped on the porch roof of the an Elm Street house ended without any civilian injuries.

One firefighter had to be taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and exhaustion, and two adults and one child were rescued from the roof of the home at 197 Elm St., the Journal News said.
