New Rochelle Resident and The College of New Rochelle Freshman Kristina Mirabile Named HVWAC Softball Rookie of the Week

The College of New Rochelle freshman Kristina Mirabile (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle HS) has been named the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Softball Rookie of the Week, it was announced today by the conference office.
Mirabile paced the Blue Angel offense last week with a team-leading .444 batting average. Her best game came on the road against Sarah Lawrence College, as the rookie went 4-5 with four runs scored, three RBI and two stolen bases in a 17-12 victory. In the field, she tallied 20 putouts and two assists for the week, while playing an error-free first base.
This marks the second time this season the HVWAC has recognized a Blue Angel rookie, as Mirabile joins March 26 recipient Sasha Schultz. Senior Christine Biskup was named Player of the Week on March 26.
