UPDATE: Decomposing Female Body Found In New Rochelle Apartment

Updated at about 5:56 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015: The deceased woman found in an apartment on Centre Avenue Sunday may have been dead for approximately two weeks, according to police.

Talk of the Sound reports that the woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was 51 years old.

A call to New Rochelle Police Capt. Joseph Schaller, the department’s head of the investigation bureau, was not immediately returned Sunday.

The discovery was made shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday in a Centre Avenue apartment.
