NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Concerns surrounding the emergence of the omicron variant of the coronavirus won't keep Santa from delivering toys to good boys and girls on Christmas and it doesn't need to keep kids from a having a photo op with Kris Kringle either.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is busy transforming the exterior of City Hall into a festive holiday village for a drive-thru selfie with Santa. Father Christmas will be safely perched in his sleigh (so no sitting on the big man's lap).

As pandemic restrictions drag on, things may once again be a little different this holiday, but some things never change. The chance to preserve a holiday memory and hand over a well-considered wish list of coveted toys remains an enduring tradition in New Rochelle.
