Grand Market Spotlight: Come Hungry!

I know what you’re thinking: you go to the Grand Market to do your weekly shopping—and, I suppose, that’s one of the many things that you can do. BUT, if you play your cards right, you can enjoy a great snack or meal while you shop. Don’t miss these great opportunities for eating at this Saturday’s Grand Market, September 28, 9am–2pm.

A Place 2 Go: Always a huge hit at the New Rochelle Grand Market, A Place 2 Go’s twin barbecue rigs will return this week to spin out succulent jerk chicken, ribs, and pulled pork (there are sides, too). When those hatches start opening, the line starts forming; folks, you will be powerless to resist the pull of this jerk. NB: you can eat your ‘cue right in our outdoor market dining room or take it home for a lazy (and easy) Saturday night supper.

Gnarley Vine: Look for New Rochelle’s perennially favorite wine bar to be at the Grand Market this Saturday morning with delicious treats for nibbling while you browse for your fish, meat and vegetables.

R Patisserie: New Rochelle’s sweet little independent coffee shop offers lemonade, iced tea, coffee, and Balthezar pastries, all are perfect for sipping and snacking as you shop.

Best Mozzerella (Iron Tomato): Expect orbs of tender, milky mozzarella from one of Westchester’s favorite gourmet shops layered into satisfying wedges with ripe, farmer’s market tomatoes. Grab one for lunch or dinner, or tear right in at our café tables.

Pain LeBris: As you might expect, New Rochelle’s favorite baker offers artisanal pain au chocolat and croissants. Basically, this is the way to start your weekend off right.

Luscious Little Dessert Company: Look for soulful little southern cakes spun with top notch ingredients. They’re perfectly sized for snacking—even the New York Times was impressed.

Monroe Dining Lab: Find out what all the buzz is about. Monroe College’s culinary arts students will be on hand to offer bites prepared in their kitchens.
