Hutch Ramp Closure Expected In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The state Department of Transportation said that motorists can expect a ramp closure Wednesday, Oct. 11 and Thursday, Oct. 12 in New Rochelle. The Exit 18 ramp at Mill Road from the Hutchinson River Parkway southbound is expected to be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days, while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting.

Caution should be used when traveling through the work zone area and in particular attention should be paid to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
