You might remember Patrias in Port Chester; itwas a sophisticated, critically-acclaimed tapas bar cheffed by an honest-to-goodness Spaniard, Mariano Aznar. Aznar has cooked at many of the greatest Spanish restaurants, including the Michelin starred Beresetegui. Designed with reverence to the tapas bars of Barcelona or San Sebastian, Patriaswas a casual, intimate place for enjoying classic tapas and a few glasses of Spanish wine.
Recently, Patriasreopened in New Rochelle, and, while its liquor license in still in process (look for Patrias to serve wine next week), we are happy to announce that Patriasand Aznar are back on form. Patrias joins Gnarly Vine to create an honest to goodness New Rochelle tapas crawl. We can’t wait for outside table weather to come back, but, meanwhile, don’t miss the New Rochelle debutof Patrias (14 Lawton Street, 914. 278-9811).
