Main Street Traffic Stop Leads To 'Ghost Gun' With Laser Sight In New Rochelle
NRPD said the Mercedes was pulled over downtown for a series of traffic violations, but the stop led them to more serious concerns.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police say a downtown traffic stop led to an unregistered, unlicensed gun being taken off the streets.
On Wednesday, shortly before 7 p.m., New Rochelle detectives saw a Mercedes-Benz make a series of traffic violations on the 700 block of Main Street. The detectives pulled the car over.
A DMV inquiry on the vehicle revealed that the registration had been suspended, requiring the car to be towed. While preparing to have the car towed, the detectives discovered a loaded 9mm "ghost gun" equipped with a laser sight behind the passenger seat.
