New Rochelle Police Capture 4 Armed Robbers Tuesday
The pursuit caused a "lock out" at New Rochelle High School.

Four men were arrested in New Rochelle Tuesday for allegedly robbing a Division Street store at gunpoint.
Police said they received a call around 2:40 p.m. that a robbery had taken place at gunpoint at the EZ Mobile at 4 Division St., and four black men had left the area on foot.
A witness told the police that people matching the description provided by the victim were seen getting into an older model four-door green Toyota parked nearby.

Officers in the area saw a car that matched the description and attempted to stop it.
The car didn’t stop and police began pursuing it. After striking a police officer’s vehicle, the occupants fled on foot.

The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police chased the suspects through several Clove Road backyards and apprehended all four men in the vicinity of New Rochelle High School.
The suspects are in custody at the police department, with charges pending the conclusion of the investigation.
The high school was alerted to the pursuit and went into “lock out” while the suspects were arrested. There was a minor delay in dismissal.
Police said the none of the suspects nor any police entered the building.
