Northbound Traffic Delayed Following Multiple-Vehicle Crash on I-95 in New Rochelle
The crash closed two northbound lanes for more than two hours Friday.

A Friday morning crash on I-95 in New Rochelle stalled northbound traffic for more than two hours, reports The Journal News.
The accident occurred just after 8 a.m. and involved five vehicles, including a tractor trailer.
Authorities closed two lanes but reopened them by about 11 a.m. However, traffic in the areas of exit 15 and 16 remained heavy throughout the morning.

New Rochelle Firefighters responded to the area and contained a separate fuel spill, which contributed to the crash, according to the below press release from the department:
After a tractor trailer dumped hundreds of gallons of fuel over 5 miles, New Rochelle Firefighters were able to offload the remaining fuel and prevent it from flowing into the sewer system. At the same time, units were operating at a multiple vehicle accident as vehicles slid through the huge fuel slick.
