When you are out and about on Saturday consider heading over to the New Dawn Foundation where you can explore a variety of healing and wellness options. I was thrilled when my friend Amelia Jones, an expert of herbal healing and the best practitioner of acupuncture I’ve ever had, told me about the day she has planned and organized this Saturday.
She has invited a number of professionals who offer different therapies, to come together on the same day. On Saturday, you will be able to experience a variety of techniques to find one or more that is best for you. From acupuncture to message, to EFT Vortex, for a single fee of $35, you can talk with practitioners and experience their different treatments all in one day.
First of all, the New Dawn Foundation is housed in The Oaks, a beautiful, sprawling estate on the Long Island Sound with plenty of old world charm characteristic of historical New Rochelle of the 1880s. In fact, just last month the property was presented with a New Rochelle Heritage Award. Once there, you will see why this is an ideal location for a community-based healing center for this Charitable Foundation. Nestled now between the beach clubs, you get there by taking a drive down Davenport Avenue. When you come to 590 you will see a rural-style mailbox; turn left.

The Oaks has plenty of rooms to accommodate the number of attending healers and practitioners who will be able to guide you through their different wellness modalities. You can try any or all of them; get a massage, try acupuncture, or see what it's like to release some stress and increase your energy with EFT Vortex.
I asked Amelia about her hopes for the day.

Amelia Jones: “At the end of the day I would hope that visitors will be transformed in some aspect, either physically, energetically or spiritually”
Q. Why do you think it's helpful to have a variety of practitioners available on one day?
Amelia Jones: “Maybe you have always wanted to try acupuncture, but never had the chance. Maybe you have never heard of some of the modalities offered. For a reasonable fee, less than some copays, ALL of the modalities will be available to you. Try one or try them all!”
Q. Is there something unique about the venders and/or the practitioners that people can't find elsewhere?
Amelia Jones: “We will have representatives of several healing modalities, and providers of a variety of natural products all in one place, in an idyllic and intimate setting.”
Q. If folks have never been to the New Dawn Foundation, why should they be eager to check it out?
