Water Main Break in New Rochelle Repaired, Water Service Restored

The water main break was on Cedar Street.

Water has been restored to residents and businesses near Cedar Street in New Rochelle Tuesday morning.

A water main break on Cedar Street was reported around 7:30 p.m. Monday, lohud.com said.

Water provider Suez, which was previously called United Water, shut down the 16-inch main by 9:30 p.m.

Crews worked overnight to repair the break.

A spokesman for Suez said discoloration of water is possible for the next 24 hours.
