
MATTITUCK, NY — Two drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries in a crash near McDonald's in Mattituck Wednesday, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the crash took place at 10 a.m. on Route 25 when Kevin Wadalavage, 62, of Forest Hills, who was heading east in a 2008 Honda four-door sedan and attempting to turn right into the McDonald's parking lot, was rear-ended by Michelle Danowski, 20, of Riverhead, who was driving a 2017 Mercedes two-door coupe.
Wadalavage was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Mattituck Fire Department Rescue for treatment of whiplash; Danowski sustained minor injuries to her leg and refused medical attention on scene, police said.
