
North Fork based commercial aerial and fine art photographer, Alex Ferrone, will be exhibiting recent photographic works in a show titled, Abstracted Order, at the Stony Brook Art Gallery from June 24 to August 4, with an Artist's Reception on Wednesday, July 11 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.. Also exhibiting with Ferrone are artists, Barbara Bilotta and Anna Franklin. A portion of the proceeds from art sales will benefit the Stony Brook Children's Hospital.
Ferrone, who has been cultivating a personalized artistic approach to still life photography through the investigation of found objects and natural settings, will be exhibiting a body of photographic images created with both lens and pinhole cameras.
The Stony Brook Art Gallery is located in the Stony Brook Holiday Inn Express, the lobby and dining room of which were transformed into a gallery by hotel owner and Gold Coast Bank Chairman, John Tsunis. The Gallery supports Long Island artists while raising funds for the Stony Brook Children's Hospital, of which Tsunis chairs the Task Force
