Greenport Elects New Mayor, Trustees
Local residents voted during the elections on Wednesday.

Residents of Greenport voted for a new mayor and two new trustees during the election on Wednesday night.
George Hubbard Jr. was elected as the mayor and Doug Roberts and Jack Martilotta were both elected as trustees, according to SoutholdLocal.
Hubbard, who was the deputy mayor, beat out Julie Lillis, a local businesswoman with a 312-76 vote, according to SoutholdLocal. Roberts, a businessman, and Martilotta, a local teacher and coach, beat out incumbent Dave Murray and Bill Swiskey, a former trustee and Superintendent of Utilities with Roberts earning 221 votes, Martilotta earning 243 votes, Murray earning 137 votes and Swiskey with 145 votes, according to Southoldlocal.
