Man Charged In String Of Commercial Burglaries: Police

The man burglarized a number of well-known Riverhead businesses, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was arrested Tuesday and charged in a string of commercial burglaries in the Riverhead area, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, Kenneth Hughes, 33, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with four counts of third-degree burglary; he was arraigned at Riverhead Town Justice Court and released on his own recognizance, police said.

Hughes was charged with burglaries that took place in Riverhead at the Turkuaz Grill on July 25 and Funcho's Fajita Grill on July 23, as well as at in Aquebogue at Little Lucharitos on August 6 and in South Jamesport at Cuddy's on August 9, police said.
