New Suffolk School Budget Passes, Board Member Elected

Voters have decided on a proposed 2015-16 budget.

New Suffolk residents approved the district’s $1.1 million proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 56-6, according to Newsday.

The budget represents a -2.66 percent spending increase over the current year.

On the New Suffolk Board of Education, Jason Cooper ran unopposed for the seat of Brooke Dailey, who was not seeking re-election.
