Suffolk's MacArthur Airport is getting a new airline and two new destinations. Riverhead's holiday bonfire is coming up this weekend. And two women stole $6,000 worth of designer purses.

Here are the top stories in North Fork today:
- Lisa Finn reports that two women stole $6,000 in handbags from Michael Kors at the Riverhead Tanger Outlets on Sunday. They took 14 bags, and one woman fled into the woods before she was caught. Tanya Antoinette Schultheis-Brown, 37, of Riverhead, was arrested. (Patch)
- Another Santa parade and holiday event is planned for this weekend, but this one has a unique twist: a bonfire. In downtown Riverhead, the 69th Riverhead Lions Club Holiday Parade starts at 3 p.m. on West Main Street and ends at the Peconic Riverfront at 4 p.m., where a community bonfire will be located. - Patch has the details on the new airline coming to MacArthur Airport. Breeze Airways will begin flights to Norfolk, Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina in February. (Patch)
