Good morning, North Fork neighbors and friends! With the pandemic sparking an uptick in overdoses, families marked by loss will gather on the East End on Mother's Day eve for a candlelight vigil to remember the lost. It will be a time for reflection, tears, and resolve, as those in attendance work together to create change.

  3. 2 Robbed At Gunpoint In Riverhead: Police: Two people were robbed at gunpoint in Riverhead Sunday, police said. Riverhead police said a call came in at 11 a.m. about an armed robbery in progress on Doctors Path. The two people said they had been at the spot to purchase a "large quantity" of marijuana and were robbed of their money by Zanta Davender, 22, of Riverhead, police said. At 3:16 p.m., Davender was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, police said. (Patch)
