Oysterponds School Budget Passes, Board Members Elected
Voters have decided on a proposed 2015-16 budget.

Oysterponds residents approved the district’s $5.6 million proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 132-47, according to Newsday.
The budget represents a 1.91 percent spending increase over the current year.
On the Oysterponds Board of Education, Linda Goldsmith and Krista de Kerillis ran unopposed for re-election while Phil Mastrangeloran ran unopposed for a one-year term to complete the term of Alison Lyne, who moved out of the district in September.
