Police: East Moriches Man Was Getaway Driver in Local Bank Robberies
Man arrested Friday afternoon.

Riverhead Town Police arrested an East Moriches man on Friday afternoon for providing transportation during the two Capital One bank robberies that occurred in the area in December and January.
Evgeniy Pulver, 23 was charged with two counts of fourth degree criminal facilitation, according to police.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation into two robberies: one on Dec. 16 at the Capital One Bank located at 140 East Main Street in Riverhead and the second on Jan. 6 at the Capital One Bank located at 1491 Main Road in Jamesport, according to police.

The investigation led to the arrest of John Gayles, 55, who was charged with two counts of third degree robbery on Feb. 25, according to police.
The investigation also determined that Pulver provided Gayles with transportation to both robberies, police said.

Pulver responded to Riverhead Police Department on Friday and was placed under arrest, according to police.
He was processed and released on $250 bail.
