Southold School Budget Passes, Board Members Elected

Voters have decided on a proposed 2015-16 budget.

Southold residents approved the district’s $29.1 million proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 462-131, according to Newsday.

The budget represents a 1.16 percent spending increase over the current year.

On the Southold Board of Education, both John Crean and Paulette Ofrias were elected, running unopposed.
