Incoming Superintendent Returns to His Northport Roots

A meet and greet will be held to welcome the incoming Superintendent to the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District.

The Northport community is invited to attend a reception to welcome incoming Superintendent Mr. Robert Banzer to the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District.

This event is more of a ”welcome back” party for Banzer, who graduated from Northport High School in 1984.

Light refreshments will be served at the meet and greet, which will take place in the William Brosnan Administration Building cafeteria.

The reception will be held on Monday, May 4 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

About Mr. Robert Banzer

Banzer is the current Director of Human Resources in the Wayne Central School District, which is located outside Rochester, NY.

Banzer has had a lengthy administrative career. He served six years as the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, nearly three years as middle school principal and three years as assistant principal in the Brockport Central School District.

He began his career in education in 1990 and worked as a classroom teacher in three different school districts. Banzer also served as football and baseball coach in three school districts and at the University at Albany.

He earned his Master’s degree, with a concentration in social studies teaching, from SUNY Albany and a Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in economics, from Hamilton College. He has also completed coursework for executive leadership from Creighton University.
