Watch: Northport Fire Department Shows How Fast Fire Can Spread
At a live demonstration, firefighters offered fire prevention tips.
To educate the community about fire prevention, Northport Fire Department held a recent live demonstration.
Narrated by Ex-Chief John McKenna and under the command of Engine Company Captain William Forster, firefighters Sean Sheridan and William Sherer set fire to a mock living room. The demonstration showed how fast fire can spread, and revealed the sensitivity of smoke alarms. Firefighters safely extinguished the fire.
