A Nyack High School student has passed away from cancer.  Jessie Yanko was 17 when he died. Principal Nicole Saieva said Yanko was a dedicated student, well liked by students and staff and will be sorely missed at the school, according to Gail Fleur, Communications Director of Nyack School District. The district has not made any plans yet until there is discussion with Yanko's family.

From uncovering hidden flagstone paths, to raking leaves and planting annuals. We've participated in every I Love My Parks Day with Parks &amp; Trails NY and NY State Parks since 2012! Partner groups have included the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Mount Vernon Youth Bureau, Yale Alumni, Con Edison, Rye Neck School, Mamaroneck School, Stanford Alumni, the Rye Garden Club, Rye Sustainability Committee and many more.&nbsp;

Brief Tattoo Removal

There will be a ribbon-cutting and party on May 2. The event is intended to feel less like a formal launch and more like a neighborhood gathering. Residents are encouraged to drop in, meet the team, enjoy music and refreshments, and learn about the tattoo removal process in a relaxed setting.
The event will include live music performed by local musicians Ray Levier, Kara Cavanaugh, David Kopec, Tim Santos, and Brian Purwan, adding to the community-focused feel of the celebration.
