If you are at risk for diabetes, or have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes you may be eligible to take part in the Rockland County Department of Health’s free highly successful Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). It is a proven way to prevent Type 2 Diabetes!

Our next program begins on Thursday, May 28th at the Robert Yeager Health complex Building J, Pomona, and meets from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM.

The DPP meets one hour every week for 16 weeks. Then monthly for 6-8 months. Trained lifestyle coaches help you make small lifestyle changes that improve your health. The coaches, the group support and the proven curriculum can help you:

  • Learn how to keep it off,
  • become more physically active,
  • reduce your risk of getting Type 2 Diabetes.
