Clarkstown Cops Investigating Shooting in Central Nyack

The victim was taken to Nyack Hospital Saturday evening.

Clarkstown Police Department were called to Central Nyack at 5:40 p.m. Saturday by a man who called 911 to report that he had been shot.

The officers who responded to the area of 26 Upper Depew Ave. were met by the victim, who was bleeding around his mouth, police said.

The victim, a 20-year-old Nyack resident, told police that an unknown person shot him as he was walking near the Super 8 Motel in Central Nyack.

He was transported to Nyack Hospital by Nyack Volunteer Ambulance and is undergoing medical treatment for what appears to be a non-life threatening injury, police said.

There is no description of the possible suspect(s) at this time. The Clarkstown Detective Bureau is on scene and investigating the shooting.
