CT Man Arrested on DUI Charge in South Nyack: State Police

The suspect's blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit, according to New York State Police.

SOUTH NYACK, NY – Shelton, CT resident Yosef D. Desouza, 45, was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and other charges Monday night on I-87 in South Nyack, according to state police.

Desouza was pulled over just after 9 p.m., and "was found to be intoxicated." While at state police headquarters in Tarrytown, his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.20 percent, which is more than twice the legal limit.

He was released to a sober third party and is scheduled to appear in the Village of South Nyack Court on Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.
