A 4 hour workshop designed to help you get the most out of any digital Point & Shoot camera. Whether you want to truly just Point & Shoot, or you want to take advantage of as many options as possible, understanding what the modes, programs and file options mean will help you understand how to get what you want and what to do if things go wrong. Because we will focus on basics of photography, as they apply to digital cameras, the knowledge you gain will be transferable, enabling you to pick up any Point & Shoot and quickly understand how to use it, as well as to more advanced shooting should you ever decide to move up to a DSLR.
This is beginner level class and will be presented in a relaxed and low key manner. Whether you're making the transition from a film based Point & Shoot to your new digital Point & Shoot or you want to actually learn how to use that Point & Shoot that has been frustrating you, this will help make sense of it all.
Time is set aside for questions, discussion and practice. The workshop presentation will last for an hour and a half each day with the last half hour open for questions & discussion related to your personal camera & photography in general. A small, fun, easy to do assignment will be given after the first session with the results reviewed and discussed during the 2nd session. Handouts covering the workshop material will be provided. The goal of the workshop is to get you out shooting whatever it is you love to photograph!
