FDR and Chief Justice Hughes: book talk by James Simon

West Nyack resident James F. Simon, Dean Emeritus at New York Law School, will speak about his latest book, FDR and CHIEF JUSTICE HUGHES: The President, the Supreme Court, and the Epic Battle Over the New Deal, which has received widespread critical acclaim. The discussion of this timely history will not only shed light on the relationship between the Presidency and the Supreme Court during the 1930's, but will also examine the complex relationship today and its impact on public policy. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and autographing.
James F. Simon has served as correspondent and contributing editor of Time magazine, specializing in legal affairs, and has also authored seven previous books on American history, law, and politics. His books have won the ABA's Silver Gavel Award and twice been named New York Times Notable Books.
