Nyack History One Sketch at a Time
Bill Batson, the creator of The Nyack Sketch Log on nyacknewsandviews.com, gives us a tour of his sketches of Nyack and the stories behind them. Batson will guide us through an artistic journey which is a blend of social and personal history - his family settled here in the late 19th Century. In 2012, Batson organized one hundred artists to gather in Nyack to create a composite landscape portrait of the Village forming the world's first Flash Sketch Mob. Find him Thursdays at his booth at the Nyack Farmer's Market where he serves as artist-in-residence.
