Meeting the Challenges of Aging

The Counseling Honor Society of LIU Hudson in Rockland will host a panel presentation on the physical and emotional challenges that accompany aging.  A team of professionals from the Jewish Home Family at Rockleigh, NJ will discuss positive ways for seniors, family members and caregivers to address these challenges proactively to help seniors maintain their quality of life.  The Jewish Home Family is a non-denominational, non-profit family of organizations dedicated to meeting the needs of seniors throughout the community.

     Topics to be addressed include:

  • looking at the whole person-physical capability, emotional well-being, social network, recreational opportunities, financial resources, spirituality
  • independence and dignity
  • family support
  • resiliency and coping with life losses
