Nyack Library Public Opinion Survey Beta Test Focus Group

The Nyack Library has prepared a comprehensive public opinion survey, which it now wants to beta test with a focus group of up to 50 members of the public. The focus group session will begin at 10:30 am in the library’s lower level Meeting Room. Participants will be asked to fill out the survey (about 30 minutes) and then discuss it. During this discussion, the public will have an opportunity to suggest changes and improvements to the survey questions.
The library’s objective is to refine the survey based on public feedback, and then by the middle of October, to invite the general public of the Nyacks to take the survey online or on paper (copies at the library). The survey results will be used to see how the wishes of its patrons and customers may have changed since the last major survey done many years ago. Also, it will help the library to evaluate the Marketplace method of displaying nonfiction materials, and more generally, to help develop the library’s long term plan.
If you would like to participate in this focus group,
