Rockland YMCA Official to Head Healing the Children NJ
Beth Bate-Du Boff, the new executive director, lives in Stony Point.

Healing the Children® New Jersey is proud to announce and welcome Beth Bate-Du Boff as its new Executive Director. In this role, Ms. Bate-Du Boff will be responsible for working with the Board of Directors to develop and implement new strategies for fundraising to support Healing the Children® New Jersey’s mission of providing donated medical care to children in need in the United States and throughout the world.
She joins HTCNJ after eight years as Director of Marketing and Financial Development for the Rockland County YMCA. Prior to that, she held similar positions at Lakeside Family and Children’s Services and Ms. Bate-Du Boff earned a BA in Journalism and Urban Communication from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J. She lives in Stony Point, NY with her husband Richard and their three sons: Spencer, Justin and Trevor and has been an active and passionate volunteer for many organizations such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, the Lions Club and Socks for Soldiers.
Healing the Children® NJ is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit founded in 1981 to provide access to medical care and related services for children in need in New Jersey and worldwide. During this time the agency has helped more than 34,000. HTCNJ provides $1.5-3 million of medical care per year, thanks to hundreds of volunteers and the generosity of hospitals and medical professionals who provide pro bono services.

In its Domestic Aid program, HTCNJ purchases prescription medications; provides eyeglasses, hearing aids and orthotics; and funds specialized child care and summer camp for children with developmental disabilities. In its International Inbound program, HTCNJ hosts children from throughout the world in New Jersey and provides them with pro bono medical and surgical treatment. In its Medical Teams Abroad program, HTCNJ travels to developing nations with volunteer teams comprised of surgeons, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, nurses and lay administrators to provide surgical care. Areas of expertise include orthopedics, ear/nose/throat, ophthalmology, general pediatric surgery, urology and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
In this role Beth will serve as the chief spokesperson, representing the organization in the community and work with board committees and volunteers to advance the mission of the organization. She brings over two decades of experience in grant writing, creating materials and conducting annual appeals, capital campaigns, planned giving, special events, identifying sponsors, stewardship and strategic planning. She also has extensive experience in the areas of marketing, public relations, program development and volunteer coordination.
