Assemblywoman Galef Announces 2018 Town Meetings
Assemblywoman Galef Invites the Public to Attend Town Meetings throughout 95th State Assembly District
State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef will kick off a series of town meetings throughout her Assembly District on Thursday, January 25th from 7:00 p.m-9:00 p.m. at the Ossining Public Library. They continue that week on Saturday, January 27th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Desmond Fish Library in Garrison, and 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Kent Public Library in Kent Lakes and the following week on Thursday, February 1st at 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at the Field Library in Peekskill, then on Saturday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library in Montrose.
Galef will cover topics such as the New York State Budget, sharing services in municipalities and education, election reform ideas, changes to sexual harassment policies, her priorities for the 2018 legislative session, and the implications of the federal tax changes. “I look forward to hearing suggestions and ideas from the community, and encourage everyone to come to learn about what is happening throughout New York State,” Galef said.
There are no snow make-up dates planned. If a town meeting is cancelled in one municipality due to weather, community members should attend another town meeting on a different date. If the weather is inclement, call Galef’s district office at (914) 941-1111 or the local library for an update on whether the meeting will proceed as scheduled.
