Beautiful Saturday Coming Up at Ossining Farmers Market - Dec. 5th

It’s looking to be a beautiful Saturday at the Ossining Farmers Market tomorrow, December 5th.

The market will be open from 8:30 am-1:00 pm at the corner of Spring and Main Streets downtown. There will be lots of fresh produce, pasture-raised meats, poultry, eggs, bread, cheese, locally-roasted coffee, prepared foods to go, and more. Good items for your holiday gift list, too. AND Pickle Licious is planning a sale: Buy 2 quarts of any product, and get 1 pint of pickles free. Nice!

Bombay Emerald Chutney Company will join in the Ossining Farmers Market tomorrow as well.

Also, the Ossining Winter Farmers Market will be held outdoors at the corner of Spring and Main Streets. It will run every Saturday, with the exception of 12/26, year round. Please note: During the winter, Down to Earth Markets will keep a close watch on temperatures. We plan to have heaters if it reaches below a certain temperature, and the market will be cancelled in the event of a winter storm. We want it to be a great experience for everyone. I’ll share full details about the market soon.

Last note: Down to Earth Markets is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to assist the Ossining Winter Farmers Market manager with market set-up and tear-down. The candidate must be 16 or older, be able to lift 50 pounds, be available every Saturday from 1/2/16- into April. Total time each Saturday will be 2 hours: 7:30-8:30am to open the market and 1-2pm to close the market. This is a paid position.
