Bus Orientation, Meet and Greet Scheduled at Park School

Ossining parents and students are invited to visit the school this Friday.

Park School in Ossining is offering events and programs to help incoming pre-kindergarteners adjust to their new routines, starting with bus orientation Aug. 23.

At bus orientation, children will learn safety and security procedures and take a ride on a school bus. Those whose last names begin with A through M should be at Park at 11 a.m.; everyone else should arrive at 1 p.m. Any new students entering kindergarten are also invited that day.

"Bus orientation gives children and parents a little more comfort and exposure to our big yellow school buses," Principal Cynthia Bardwell said. "It is a fun introduction that reduces student stress for the first day of school."
