Croton FD Responds to South Riverside Avenue Incident

The fire department, along with Con Ed emergency personnel, responded to the area just after noon on Tuesday.

Croton Fire volunteers responded to an incident on South Riverside Avenue early Tuesday afternoon.

The department's Rescue 18 truck had the roadway partially blocked off but personnel were opening the avenue back up by about 12:30 p.m.

According to the Fire Department's website, firefighters were called to the corner of South Riverside and Croton Point avenues at 11:18 a.m. The incident was a brush fire near the ShopRite Shopping Center.
