Croton-on-Hudson Resident Jessica Chin to Study in the Amazon

Jessica Chin, of Croton-on-Hudson, will travel to the Amazon in June. Chin is a student in the Global Field Program from Miami University.

From Miami University:

Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y. resident Jessica Chin, a master's student in the Global Field Program from Miami University's Project Dragonfly, will travel to the Amazon in June 2016. Chin will study avian and tropical ecology. Chin is a hospital assistant at Bronx Zoo, Wildlife Conservation Society.

Since the program began 12 years ago, Project Dragonfly's Earth Expeditions graduate courses - on which the master's programs are based - have engaged more than 1,700 people in firsthand educational and scientific research at critical conservation field sites in Africa, Australia, Asia and the Americas. Dragonfly is located in the department of biology at Miami University, a state university in Oxford, Ohio. Miami was established in 1809 and is listed as one of the eight original Public Ivies.
