Croton-on-Hudson Village Candidates Debate Oct. 23

The event is hosted by the League of Women Voters.

A public debate featuring candidates for the office of village trustee will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 23, in the Ottinger Room at the Croton Free Library,

Doors will open to the public at 6:30. Croton residents are encouraged to arrive by then if they wish to submit a written question to the candidates.

Seven people are running for three open seats on the village Board of Trustees—2 are full 2-year-terms and one is the final year of Casey Raskob’s term.

Croton United has three candidates: Robert Anderson, John Brijeski and Virginia Calcutti. Anderson is seeking the 1-year seat.

Incumbents Ann Gillelli and Maria Slippen, who was appointed temporarily to replace Raskob, are running as part of Team Croton with Brian Pugh.

Not as part of a group, Kevin McClone, a volunteer firefighter, is running for a 2-year seat.
